Ok so I know that – as always – I am way behind on the Instagram trend. I have been sporadically using Instagram for a few months and it wasn’t until last week that I realized it was actually a social media site! I just thought you used it to make funky pictures…not to share information and connect. Anyone who “follows” me on Instagram knows that I am now a bit addicted. I don’t have a fancy camera, so Instagram pictures are about as good as it’s gonna get on this blog!

Now for the food:
Over the past few days I have been able to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. In fact, last night I spent over 3 hours making random treats! I’m not saying healthy food has to take forever…cooking is just something I really enjoy. It reminds me of when my husband was in Afghanistan and I passed a lot of time in the kitchen exploring new vegan and raw foods.
Some weeks I barely cook anything and other times I want to make every meal from scratch. This week was definitely the latter!

All of these pictures remind me of my new years resolution to take more pictures of people than food and cats….EPIC FAIL!
